Dean Francis Chilson passed away at the age of 58 on Nov. 11, 2025.
Dean was a husband, father, papa, son, brother and friend. He grew up in Ellsworth, Wis. and graduated from Prescott High School. Dean worked as a welder. He found his perfect job at Stainless Steel Technologies.
Dean loved to travel with his wife, kids, and parents. They made it to 42 states and Mexico. Dean had a passion for cars. He would tell his wife the make, model, and year even if she didn’t ask. Some of this favorite pastimes were hanging out with his family and going to zoos, state parks, and apple orchards. His favorite time of year was eagle migration. Dean and Debbie would pack a lunch and drive along the river to count them. He was a good furbaby dad too. Any French fries he had left over went home to Marley.
Dean was preceded in death by grandparents Arthur and Inez Gillespie, father Wayne, in-laws Hubert, Betty, and Gordy. Dean is survived by his wife Debora (Debbie) Chilson, children Dean David Chilson, Dani Rae Ann Chilson Frey, and son-in-law Matthew Frey. Papa to Nolan David and Elle Iris. Son to Charlotte Chilson. Brother to Gene and Brian. Sibling-in-law to Jon and Nancy Lemerand, David Lemerand (nieces Jessica and Justice), Cathi and Steve Brown (nephew Tanner Brown), Duane and Starr Lemerand (nieces and nephews Morgan, Neamiah, Joe, and Jordan).
