ELLSWORTH — Do you have a special story about how your local library has made a difference in your life? The Ellsworth Public Library wants to hear from you!

As part of Library Legislative Day on Feb. 10, librarians will be sharing personal stories from library users with state legislators.

"We collect a lot of statistics related to library use, but personal stories help paint a more complete picture of how library services impact a community," said Library Director Tiffany Meyer. "Combining the two in a presentation or annual report graphic creates an effective tool to share with municipal, county, and state legislators to help convey what the library is doing and what is important to their constituents."

Your voice matters. Legislators rely on hearing directly from the people libraries serve. By sharing your experience, you can thank officials for their past support and demonstrate how the library contributes to your life and the community.

It only takes five minutes and one question—but the impact is huge. Short or long, every story makes a difference.

Submitting your story is easy: visit the Ellsworth Public Library website at www.ellsworthlibrary.org and fill out the online form. Librarians will take care of the rest.

Help us show our legislators the power of libraries—one story at a time!
