ELMWOOD – A new Dollar General is under construction at 1211 W. Winter Ave. in Elmwood and set to open sometime this spring, according to a DG public relations representative.

“At this time, a store opening is slated for spring 2023, but understand that construction progress may alter this date,” the representative said.

The store will employ six to 10 employees. Dollar General sells merchandise such as foods, health and beauty products, home cleaning supplies, housewares, stationery, seasonal items and basic clothing.
