Donald “Donnie” Allen Johnson, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born on July 9, 1940, the son of Durrell and Selma (Jahr) Johnson. Donnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Donnie married the love of his life, Marvis Ann (Stokke) Johnson on Nov. 26, 1960. Together they raised their three children. Donnie served in the Army from 1957-1963, worked at 3M for 30 years, and served on the Prescott Fire and Rescue Department from 1970 to 1997 where he was chief for 13 years.
Donnie loved one woman with an unwavering passion and spent his life serving his country and community. He loved to fish and BS with anyone who would listen. Donnie was gentle, sweet and kind-hearted. He loved a good laugh and most importantly cherished his family.
Donnie is survived by his wife Marvis; children Patti Johnson, Linda (Paul) Seifert, Scott (Casie) Johnson; grandchildren Jacob Parmeter, Justin (Laura) Parmeter, Gary (Rachel) Seifert, Cory (Megan) Seifert, Clay (Lauren) Seifert, and five great grandchildren; siblings Duane (Mary) Johnson, Jerry (Karen) Johnson, Sharon (Fred) Mercord, Richard (Marleen) Johnson, Mavis (Steve) Hazen and Steve Stokke.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5 p.m. June 25, 2023 at The Old Ptacek’s Event Center: 1449 Orrin Road, Prescott, WI.
