Doris Ann Halverson, 73, of Bay City, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Ellsworth Care Center. She was born January 1, 1950, in Red Wing, Minnesota, to Joseph and Mildred (Frazier) Linder. She graduated from the Villa Maria Academy in 1968. On April 17, 1971, she married Francis Halverson at Eidsvold Lutheran Church in Esdaile, Wisconsin. Doris worked at Grandmas Country Inn Restaurant in Bay City, Kmart for many years and then had her own café in Bay City, Doris’ Village Café, which she was well-known for her home cooked food, especially her lefse. She was a 4-H leader and served as the president of Ladies Aid. Later in life she enjoyed quilting and sewing, and loved a nice hot cup of tea.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Francis of Bay City; 2 children, Brent (Jeanie) Halverson of Maiden Rock and Taryn (Dave) Weber of Hager City; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Lindsay, Kyle, Andrew and Amanda; 1 great-grandchild; 4 step-great-grandchildren and 5 siblings, Bernie (Virginia) Linder, Patricia Olson, Bryan (Peggy) Linder, Josephine (Dennis) Gille and Lois Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Linder; 9 siblings, Edward Linder, Leroy Linder, Ronald Linder, Rosella Messetler, Eugene Linder, David Linder, Herman Linder, Thomas Linder and Cleopatra Christianson.

Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. and go until the time of the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
