At a recent Prescott American Legion Post #61 membership meeting, Harley Eaton was honored for 76 years of continuous membership. Commander Jerry Klasen thanked Eaton for his years of service to his country, community and Legion Post. Eaton has also led the Legion Honor Guard for many years. At age 96, he said, “I remember when we dug the basement to the Legion by hand. There were no backhoes at that time.” Pictured are (front, from left): Don Slaton, Norm Johnson, Larry Berning, Grant Wolf, Terry Budworth; (back) Roger Klegin, Charlette Eaton, Harley Eaton, Jerry Klasen.
