Ellsworth Community School District is happy to welcome many new faces to its staff (plus a few familiar ones) this year. Interim school days began Tuesday, Aug. 26, with the official first day of school Tuesday, Sept. 2.

Lindsay Allen

Position: High school special education teaching assistant

Hometown: Somerset

Education/experience: WITC

Hobbies/interests: I enjoy reading, writing, hiking and going on long road trips with my family. Our favorite places to visit are Glenwood Springs, Colo. and Provo, Utah!

Family: I moved to Ellsworth five years ago with my husband and our three children who attend Ellsworth schools: Brock (10), Lily (6) and Morgan (5). We also have two dogs; Frankie Jay and Maddie Mae.

What are you most looking forward to? Meeting the students and learning more about them. I also look forward to supporting them in their education goals.

Mindy Anderson

Position: High school art teacher

Hometown: Ellsworth

Education/experience: UW-Stout

Hobbies/interests: Spending time with my family, reading, hiking and biking

Family: My husband Mark and I have three daughters: Lydia (26), Stella (23) and Julia (20).

What are you most looking forward to? Getting to know the students and staff and sharing my love of art!

Leah Barr

Position: Speech language pathologist

Hometown: River Falls

Education/experience: UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point

Hobbies/interests: Travel, reading, cooking, podcasts and walking with my dog Yogi

Family: For the past five years, my husband and I have been traveling around Georgia, California, Arizona, Texas and Colorado while I was a traveling SLP. Both of our families live here in the Midwest, so we are excited to be closer to them now.

What are you most looking forward to? I am really looking forward to building lasting relationships with my students and their families. I am excited to part of a close-knit community.

Dayah Halverson

Position: Special education aide

Hometown: Ellsworth

Education/experience: Hastings Beauty School

Hobbies/interests: I enjoy hiking, fishing, playing tennis, baking and spending time with my family.

Family: My parents are John and Arianne Halverson, both born and raised here in Ellsworth. I also have an older brother Colton.

What are you most looking forward to? I am looking forward to meeting new students and watching them learn and grow throughout the year.

Kris Harstad

Position: Library assistant

Hometown: Red Wing, Minn.

Education/experience: Minnesota State University – Moorhead

Hobbies/interests: Reading and making sourdough bread

Family: I live in Red Wing with my husband Dan and our 1-year-old Cocker Spaniel Jubal. We raised our two sons in Red Wing and now their families keep us busy and entertained with three beautiful grandchildren. We love to travel and enjoyed a recent trip to Utah to visit family and explore some of the amazing national parks!

What are you most looking forward to? I am looking forward to meeting new people and being a part of this school community.

Maysel Ingli

Position: School counselor, grades 3-5

Hometown: Baldwin and Hudson

Education/experience: University of St. Thomas (undergrad) and UW-Superior (graduate)

Hobbies/interests: Cross stitch, embroidery, Jane Austen

Family: Recently married to my husband, Shawn Ingli from Plum City. I am the second of 12 children growing up in Baldwin and then living the last several years near Hudson.

What are you most looking forward to? I am so excited to step into this new role from school counseling intern to school counselor grades 3-5. I feel already so familiar and in love with this district community. This was a wonderful opportunity to stay somewhere I love.

Faith Iwerks

Position: Third grade teacher

Hometown: Shoreview, Minn.

Education/experience: UW-Eau Claire

Hobbies/interests: All sports, reading, baking and spending time with family

Family: I am blessed with a wonderful mom, dad, stepdad, older brother and sister, two younger stepsisters, and boyfriend of three years. Within this blended family, we share four cats and two English Labs. I couldn’t ask for a better support system and love them all dearly!

What are you most looking forward to? I am looking forward to not only getting to know my students and their families, but the community as a whole. I quickly fell in love with the city of Ellsworth and I have all the wonderful people I’ve met to thank for that!

Traci Lewis

Position: Finance specialist

Hometown: Grew up in Colby; residing in River Falls

Education/experience: UW-Eau Claire

Hobbies/interests: Traveling, spending time with family, card games

Family: I am married and have two adult children and two adult stepchildren. We have two who are working and two who are finishing up college.

What are you most looking forward to? I am really looking forward to working in this district! I already enjoy working with my team and feel like we’re making great progress. I’m excited to help make our finances clearer so we can make the most of our resources and find new ways to strengthen our district for the future.

Kjrsten Lokker

Position: Speech language pathologist

Hometown: New Richmond

Education/experience: Calvin University for Masters; UW-Eau Claire for Bachelors

Hobbies/interests: Traveling, reading and spending time outdoors

What are you most looking forward to? What I am looking forward to most this year is returning to Ellsworth Community School District, this time as an SLP! After working as an SLPA here for three years, it feels so good to be back in a community that already feels like home. I’m excited to build connections with my students and celebrate their progress – no matter how big or small. I love creating a space where kids feel encouraged, heard and excited to learn! I can’t wait to reconnect with familiar faces, build new relationships and support students as they grow and find their voices!

Paul Manosky

Position: Technology Education Instructor

Hometown: Bruce, Wis.

Education/experience: University of Wisconsin- Stout; Major: Technology Education emphasis on metallurgy and minor in psychology  

Hobbies/interests: Golfing, snowboarding, the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Family: I have a lovely wife named CJ and a beautiful daughter named Dailey Joy.

What are you most looking forward to? I am so excited for the new CTE facility and getting to know the students and the community here in Ellsworth. 

Annah Massmann

Position: Ellsworth Middle School counselor

Hometown: New Richmond

Education/experience: UW-River Falls

Hobbies/interests: Reading, going for walks, playing with my two children

Family: Married to my husband David for seven years; daughter Audrey (4) and son Elliott (1)

What are you most looking forward to? Getting to know the staff and students at Ellsworth Middle School; continuing to learn and grow as a school counselor.

Amber Pavley

Position: High school counselor

Hometown: Hudson

Education/experience: UW-River Falls for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Hobbies/interests: Travel, reading, camping and playing with my kids

Family: My husband TJ and I have been married for nine years. We have two kids, a daughter Evelyn (4) and our son Theodore! We also have an 8-year-old dog named Finn.

What are you most looking forward to? Getting to know the kids and the community.

Mishon Stanger

Position: SPED para

Hometown: Ellsworth

Education/experience: University of Wyoming

Hobbies/interests: Hiking, yoga, side x side rides, adventures with my kids

Family: I have three kids at Ellsworth Elementary.

What are you most looking forward to? I’m coming from River Falls School District, so I am looking forward to being close to home and getting to know new students!

Ashley Syverson

Position: Fourth grade teacher

Hometown: Amery

Education/experience: Amery

Hobbies/interests: Reading, golfing, hiking, tennis and painting

Family: I have two parents and an older and a younger sister. I got married this past fall to my husband, Jacob.

What are you most looking forward to? Learning about the Ellsworth Community School District, getting to know my students and becoming part of the Ellsworth community.

Brittany Thompson Kinneman

Position: Middle school counselor

Hometown: Bloomer, Jump Rope Capital of the World; now currently living in Ellsworth

Education/experience: UW-Stout, bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in school counseling

Hobbies/interests: Reading, traveling, working out, spending time with friends and family, camping, dancing, hand sewing and painting!

Family: Husband Brady, an agronomist at Ag Partners; four kids: Griffin, seventh grade; Willow, fourth grade; Norrah, first grade; Gibbson, early childhood

What are you most looking forward to? Working with an amazing staff, continuing to create a counseling curriculum, integrating counseling and teaching and most importantly, creating relationships with our students!

Beth Weiland

Position: JK-2 school counselor

Hometown: Grew up in Boyceville, now live in Hudson

Education/experience: UW-River Falls, bachelor’s degree in elementary education. 2001; UW-Superior, master’s degree in school counseling, 2025.

Hobbies/interests: Wisconsin sports teams, especially Milwaukee Brewers! Trying new foods and restaurants, reading, watching movies, spending time with family and friends

Family: Husband Dan is a tech ed teacher and football coach at Hudson Middle School. Daughter Gracie will be a freshman at Hudson. Our dog is a Golden Retriever named Raider; he’s spoiled rotten!

What are you most looking forward to? I’m looking forward to building relationships with students, families and staff. After teaching mostly third and fourth grade in a different district since 2003, I am excited for the change that Ellsworth Elementary will bring! Go Panthers!

Haylee Yaeger

Position: Physical education and health teacher (grades 6-8).

Hometown: Prescott

Education/experience: UW-Stout

Hobbies/interests: Coaching basketball, fishing and thrifting

Family: My little family lives here in Ellsworth. Most of our days consist of keeping up with our energetic toddler and pup (Kobe).

What are you most looking forward to? I’m most looking forward to teaching students how to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and why it is so important!
