ELLSWORTH — Ellsworth Community School District staff were welcomed to The Ridgetop on May 6 for the annual Recognition Dinner. The district honored eight retirees who hold a combined 189 years of service in the district as well as some employment anniversary milestones for staff throughout the district.
“This is a bittersweet time of year for a lot of people. We celebrate students completing their journey and taking on new adventures, we honor staff who made the decision to go down a different path with a lot of prevailing feeling of sadness when we see these people go. There’s also some overwhelming happiness and jealousy from some of us who are approaching [retirement],” Superintendent Brian Nadeau joked. “The countless daily interactions and positive impact that these people have hand on students is truly remarkable, and this evening provides us the opportunity for a collective thank you.”
