EL PASO – El Paso Days is back and raring to go Aug. 17-22 and will honor “100 Years of Pierce County 4-H” during its 34th annual celebration. The town festival strives to honor an individual or group each year from El Paso that has made significant contributions to the community and its history.
This year’s grand marshals are Linda Steele, Beth and Craig Ingli, Bob and Kathy Traynor and Marsha and Tony Shafer. Each of them is a 4-H alumnus and has served as a leader or been involved in Pierce County 4-H. The county’s 4-H program boasts approximately 670 members in 22 clubs with more than 100 volunteers taking part.
Several area 4-H clubs will host activities or food stands during El Paso Days and be featured in the grand parade on Sunday.
