ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Pierce County Journal, will host a Village of Ellsworth Board Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26. The event will be held virtually and streamed live on Facebook.

The forum will provide Ellsworth residents with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates running for Village Board Trustee and learn more about their perspectives ahead of the April election.

Candidates participating in the forum include incumbent Lance Austin, incumbent Tony Hines, and Dick Hines. Three seats are open on the Village Board in this year’s election.

The forum will be moderated by Sarah Nigbor, editor of the Pierce County Journal. Each candidate will have an opportunity to provide opening remarks, respond to a series of questions, and share closing comments.

“Our goal in hosting this forum is to help voters become informed and engaged in the local decision-making process,” said Kim Beebe, Executive Director of the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce. “Local government plays an important role in shaping our community, and this forum provides residents with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and learn more about their priorities for Ellsworth.”

Community members are encouraged to tune in and watch the forum live on the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce or Pierce County Journal's Facebook pages. A recording of the event will also be available for viewing afterward.
