Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery celebrates veterans on Veterans Day

ELLSWORTH – Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery was proud to celebrate Veterans Day and recognize the service of area veterans who bravely served our nation. On Saturday, all veterans who visited the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery’s storefronts in Ellsworth or Menomonie received a free pound of cheese curds.

A total of 83 pounds of cheese curds were provided to these brave men and women, a small gesture driven by immense gratitude for their service.

"As a Vietnam veteran, we were not always welcomed home,” said Steve Hamilton, a Vietnam War veteran. “It’s nice to be appreciated now for our service. Thank you to the businesses who honor veterans."

“Our veterans are the best among us. Our nation is better thanks to the selfless service and dedication of our veterans,” said Paul Bauer, CEO and general manager of Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery. “Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery is proud to support those who have bravely served us.”

Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery is a farmer-owned co-op based in the Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin, Ellsworth. For 112 years, their 250 patron family dairy farms and dedicated employees have been proudly producing award-winning cheese curds and artisan cheeses.
