A town of Isabelle resident had to evacuate a mobile home with a small child Thursday, Jan. 23 thanks to a fire that broke out in the home’s bathroom.
According to Ellsworth Fire Assistant Chief Derek Featherstone, crews responded at 2:12 p.m. that day to W7215 155th Ave., Bay City, where they found single-story pre-manufactured home with heavy smoke showing from the roof line. Crews entered the home and were able to extinguish the flames, which were contained to the home’s bathroom. The house suffered heavy smoke damage, but no injuries were reported. Featherstone said the fire’s cause is undetermined.
Pierce County land records list the property’s owner as Jesse S. Schmidt. Red Wing Fire, Pierce County Sheriff’s Office and Prescott Fire assisted Ellsworth Fire at the scene.
