In the Makerspace: Draw-cember Drawing Prompts and Activities. Coloring pages and games always available. Keep an eye out for pop-up activities!
December is Read a New Book Month
Wednesdays, Dec. 6, 13, and 20 at 10 a.m.: Stitchin' Time Crafters: Do you knit, crochet, cross-stitch or do other handicrafts and want to connect with others who do too? Join us on Wednesday mornings for crafting and socializing. (Location: Meeting Room)
Fridays, Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 10:10 a.m.: Morning Storytime (Location: Storytime Playspace)
Saturdays, Dec. 2, 9 and 16: Community Chess Club (Location: Meeting Room)
Dec. 8, 9, 15 and 16: Light up the Fair from 5-8 p.m. - Complete the library sponsored Scavenger Hunt at the Fairgrounds. Bring it back to the library for a prize and an entry into a prize drawing.
Dec. 6 from 5:30-7 p.m. - Bill Hoyt Newbery and Caldecott Collection Exhibit Opening Reception - 6 p.m. - Special Presentation and Q&A with Bill Hoyt
Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m. - Tech Time - One-on-one assistance from our tech expert, Barb. Call the library for an appointment time. Barb will be available for three half-hour time slots every second Monday of each month. (Location: Study Room)
Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. - Discover Together Tuesday - Holiday Social: We'll mix, mingle and share good cheer with games and laughter, music and song, food and fun. A meal sponsored by the Ellsworth Senior Center and the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library will follow. This program is open to people of all ages. (Location: Ellsworth Senior Center)
Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. - Doodle Club (Location: Makerspace)
Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. - Morning Book Club: The Thursday Morning Murder Club (Location: Meeting Room)
Dec. 16 at 10 or 11:30 a.m. - Robotics Exploration (ages 8+). Registration recommended (11:30 session will only be offered if 10 a.m. session fills)
Dec. 18 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.: LEGO at the Library (Location: Makerspace)
Dec. 21 at 6:30 p.m. - Community Book Club: Yellow Wife (Location: Meeting Room)
Dec. 28 - last day to turn in reviews for the Year-long All Together Now Reading Challenge
The library will be closed on Dec. 25, 26 and 29.
Library Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday/Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
