The Ellsworth Senior Center would like to invite all senior citizens ages 50 and greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players every from 1-3 p.m. every Monday and Friday.

Euchre Card Players will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22 and 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28. We will be having a White Elephant Bingo Day. Everyone is invited to bring a wrapped white elephant prize. We will be playing with the snitch rule after all prizes are won. Cake and ice cream will be served following bingo.

Game Day, held the first Tuesday of the month (1-3 p.m. March 5) is our newest gathering for fun and group games. We will be meeting through May to help chase away the cabin fever that winter brings. Come for the fun, stay for the fellowship.

Discovering Together Tuesday will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12. On April 8, 2024, the second great American eclipse occurs, as a total eclipse will be seen on a line stretching from Texas to Maine. The last time this occurred was in 2017, and the next time won't be until 2044! Here in Ellsworth, you can experience the eclipse as the sun will be 80% covered. This month we'll learn about the science behind eclipses, their causes and phases, and safe ways to view them. Everyone who attends will receive a free pair of eclipse glasses. A light lunch will be provided.

Our Balanced Wellness Presentation with CJ Young from Country fit will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20. “Show your heart some Love” will be the presentation. CJ will be discussing how the heart works, what is heart disease, common heart attack warning symptoms, and seven simple steps to heart health. She will be bringing along her Tanita computer to read our personal Body Composition Readings. We will also be doing some group exercises to help maintain our balance and strength.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 27. March is National Reading Month. Ellsworth Public Library Director Tiffany Meyer and Youth Services/Programming Coordinator Caroline Herfindahl will be discussing information about your public library - what the library has to offer seniors, books that are good reading for seniors, and additional information. Cake and ice cream will be served following the presentation.

Katrina will be providing Foot Care on Wednesday, March 20 and Tuesday, April 2 from 9-11 a.m. Please call the Ellsworth Senior Center at 715-273-5873 for more details and/or to make an appointment.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center, located in the basement of the old Ellsworth Public Library (312 W. Main St.) Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back door.
