Ellsworth Senior Center Happenings: May 12-26, 2026

Come and join us at our May events and activities at the Ellsworth Senior Citizens Center, located at 229 W. Main St. (lower level of English Lutheran Church). Someone should greet you at the door, but if not ring the black buzzer to the right of the door and someone will let you in.

11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12: Local Historian Sally Nugent will explore the history of the Sioux Uprising of 1862 and its local connections, while recounting the gripping survivor story of her great grandmother Rosina.  Free and open to the public. Complimentary lunch follows.

1-3 p.m. Thursdays, May 14 and May 28: Join the Euchre card players.

Wednesday, May 20 and into the future, CJ has cancelled all Wednesday wellness and exercise sessions held at Country Fit.

1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26: Brain Health Bingo is a fun, interactive, and educational activity for people of all ages! Learn ways to improve your brain health while socializing with others and having a little friendly competition for Brain healthy snacks! In addition to several rounds of bingo, ADRC Dementia Specialist Amy Luther will lead discussion on ways to live well daily and small steps to take to decrease risk for cognitive changes as we get older. Come, have fun and learn! We’ll have healthy brain snacks for our afternoon treats.

1-4 p.m. Mondays and Fridays: Join the pool players for shooting pool.  On Monday, May 11, a few students from the Ellsworth High School will join the pool players.
