Join us at our events and activities at the Ellsworth Senior Citizens Center, located at 229 W. Main St. (lower level of English Lutheran Church). Someone should greet you at the door, but if not ring the black buzzer to the right of the door and someone will come.

Tuesday, Sept. 29: Celebrating Seniors will feature Ellsworth School Supt. Brian Nadeau at 1:30 p.m. He will share how the Ellsworth School District is funded, the impact of the defeated referendum, school population, state and federal requirements and more. Public is invited.   Come, learn, and bring your questions.

Tuesday, Oct. 6: Game Day is 1-3 p.m.; we’ll be playing Rummikub, Checkers, Scrabble, Dominoes, Chinese Marbles – your selection. Come and have fun!

Tuesday, Oct. 13: At 11 a.m., come and meet Laura Ingalls Wilder as professional storyteller Pati Kachel brings her to life in an authentic, costumed, first-person portrayal. Hear Laura’s story of pioneering, perseverance and becoming a bestseller author at age 68. Vintage artifacts and family photographs will enhance this family friendly presentation. This is a free program for all ages. Lunch will be served following the presentation.

Every Monday and Friday from 1-4 p.m. the pool players meet at the Senior Center to shoot pool and they welcome others to join them.

Pick up our monthly calendar at any of these events and also select items from our food pantry, puzzles to put together or DVD’s to watch at home.
