The Ellsworth Senior Center would like to invite all senior citizens age 50 and greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players every Monday and Friday from 1-4 p.m.

Euchre Card Players are meeting on 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 and Thursday, Feb. 27. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29. We will be entertained by the Ellsworth Senior High Jazz choir.  Cake and ice cream will be served following the performance.

Game Day will be held 1-3 p.m. Feb. 4. We will play White Elephant Bingo this month. Bring along a wrapped White Elephant prize. There is no need to buy a new item. Bring an item that you no longer want. Come and share your afternoon together and chase away winter cabin fever.

Discover Together Tuesday will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 11 at the Ellsworth Senior Center featuring Houseplants 101: Care, Benefits, and Propagation. Come add a little green, life and growth to your winter home as Master Gardener and Library Plant Caretaker Mary Vagt will lead us through the care and benefits of houseplants, as well as a hands-on opportunity to prepare a plant cutting to take home with you. We will also enjoy a luncheon together sponsored by the Ellsworth Senior Center and the Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library.

Katrina will be providing Foot Care for a fee on Tuesday, Feb. 18 (six-week) and Tuesday, Feb. 25 (eight-week) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Please call the Senior Center at 715-273-5873 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

From 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, will have a free fitness/creative event sponsored by an ADRC grant at Country Fit. The session starts with an enjoyable exercise class that is modified to fit everyone's needs and ends with getting crafty! Each time you go, you get the chance to do a new craft or activity.  Here, friends are made, and laughter ensues. At Fit Art, everyone feels included. Everyone is free to express themselves through movement and art. It's a gratifying experience that every person who attends really enjoys it.

Our Balanced Wellness Presentation with CJ Young will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19. CJ will bring along her Tanita computer to read our personal Body Composition Readings following her presentation. We will also be doing some group exercises to help maintain our balance and strength.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26: A Quick Tour of Ireland with Caroline Herfindahl. Caroline will take you on a photographic journey through four parts of the Emerald Isle. We'll visit Belfast and the Derry Coast of Northern Ireland, travel to the west coast visiting counties Mayo and Galway, travel south to County Cork and end our trip with a quick stop in Dublin. Along the way we'll learn a little history, take in the charms and beauty of this fascinating island and escape our cold, dreary winter for a little while. Cake and ice cream will be served following the presentation.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center, located at English Lutheran Church (229 W. Main St., Ellsworth).
