The Ellsworth Senior Center would like to invite all senior citizens age 50 and greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players from 1-3 p.m. every Monday and Friday.

Euchre Card Players will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28; Thursday, Oct. 12; and Thursday, Oct. 26. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come.

Discovering Together Tuesday will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10. We will be entertained by the music of local River Falls musician, Harm Bents. Bring your singing voices as Harm will be asking us to sing along to a few tunes. A light lunch will be provided.

The Balanced Wellness Presentation with CJ Young from Country fit will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. Fall prevention awareness will be our topic. We will discuss some tips on how to prevent falling and proactive measures to safeguard your future.

Come join us at the Vasa Museum in Welch, Minn. at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. The church is an historic landmark and museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Swedish immigrants who settled in the area in the late 19th century. They have three buildings. One is the Main Museum building and right next to it the Vasa House which holds a lot of local information and artifacts. They also have a garage that holds a 1930 Ford Roadster and several farm tools. We will be carpooling from the Ellsworth Senior Center. There is no cost for this trip. Please call 715-273-5873 for additional details.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will is slated for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1 (note the date change). The Ellsworth High School drama crew will perform a sample preview of their upcoming November theatrical musical production of “Footloose.” Cake and ice cream will be served following the presentation.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center, located in the basement of the old Ellsworth Public Library (312 W, Main St.) Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back door.
