The Ellsworth Senior Center is looking for a part-time director.
The Ellsworth Senior Center oversees vital community programs, which as Meals on Wheels that many local seniors rely on to supplement their nutrition, especially now that many must remain at home due to COIVID-19 concerns.
Without a director the Ellsworth Senior Center can’t continue operations.
Hours for the position are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and three additional afternoons once a month. Responsibilities include overseeing the packing of Meals on Wheels, schedule volunteers and helper, planning center activities and programs and other assignments. Qualifications include; a High School diploma (GED),basic computer skills, outstanding leadership and organizational skills, and good social skills. They must also enjoy working with seniors.
Once senior programming can begin again, the position has the potential to be even more rewarding.
The Ellsworth Senior Center executive board is also looking to hire a senior for 20 hours a week as a helper with the Meals on Wheels program.
