The Ellsworth Senior Center would like to invite all senior citizens age 50 and greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players from 1-4 p.m. every Monday and Friday. 

We are closed Monday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day) and Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving).

Euchre Card Players are meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14. We are not meeting the fourth Thursday of November (Thanksgiving). Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come.  

Discovering Together Tuesday will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Ellsworth Senior Center where we will meet Chef Tucky. We invite you to journey from Sri Lanka to the United States on a food inspired journey with Tucky Dias Bandaranaike, Chef- Sommelier of The Arbor at Young Acres outside Prescott. Tucky will share his story, his inspiration and information about his latest restaurant, which is a chef-driven scratch kitchen focused on delivering globally inspired cuisine with locally procured ingredients. Chef will also prepare some Sri Lankan cuisine for us to sample. A meal will be provided following the program, courtesy of Ellsworth Senior Center and Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library.

Our Balanced Wellness Presentation with CJ Young will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20. CJ will bring along her Tanita computer to read our personal Body Composition Readings following her presentation. We will also be doing some group exercises to help maintain our balance and strength.

Katrina will be providing Foot Care for a fee on Tuesday, Nov. 26 (six-week schedule) beginning at 8:30 a.m. Please call the Senior Center for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27. Dr. Matthew Georgeson from River Falls Eye Surgery and Laser Center will be presenting information on eye health and eye care. He will also be including some basics about eye anatomy. Cake and ice cream will be served following the presentation.

The Ellsworth Senior Center was located in the basement of the old public library for 53 years. Over those years, numerous items were accumulated. We will be having an “everything must go” sale on 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. Most of the items will be available for a buyer-specified donation amount. Come check it out at the old Ellsworth Senior Center (312 W. Main St., Ellsworth.)

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center located at English Lutheran Church (229 W. Main St.)
