Ellsworth Seniors add new July events

greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players from 1-3 p.m. every Monday and Friday.

Euchre Card Players are meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 13 and Thursday, July 27.

This month starts our new Balanced Wellness Presentations with CJ Young from Country Fit at 11 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month. Young will present a different topic each month to our seniors. At 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, the topic is Life Hacks for Healthier Meal Choices. We will cover:

*Simple changes to help you eat more nutritious meals

*Keep it simple

*Mindful grocery shopping

*Healthier substitutions for junk food favorites

We've all heard the old adage, "you can't outrun a bad diet,” but what does that mean? No matter how hard we exercise, if we are not giving our bodies the nutritious fuel they require to perform at optimum advantage, we are not going to achieve our healthier lifestyle goals. Come join us for some interesting information.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday July 26. Liz Dietsche, Pierce County Fair Manager, will be presenting information on the Pierce County Fair such as the theme of the county fair, changes to the fair, new attractions and the schedule. Cake and ice cream will be served following her presentation.

Come join us for a pontoon ride on the St. Croix River 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 27. This event is free of charge and sponsored by the Rotary Club. Donations are accepted but not necessary. Life jackets will be supplied. There is limited seating available. Please phone the Ellsworth Senior Center at 715-273-5873 to reserve your spot.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center located in the basement of the old Ellsworth Public Library (312 W. Main St.) Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back door.
