The Ellsworth Senior Center would like to invite all senior citizens age 50 and greater to the following events to be held at the senior center:

Come and join the Pool Players from 1-3 p.m. every Monday and Friday.

Euchre Card Players will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 and 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come.

Balanced Wellness Presentation with CJ Young from Country fit will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17. Our topic for January is “Self Care - Mind, Body, and Spirit.” She will be presenting good information to keep us healthy during the cold winter season and beyond. CJ will be bringing along her Tanita computer to read our personal body composition readings. We will also be having a small exercise session together.

Celebrating Seniors Gathering will be held at 1:30 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 31. The newspaper field is an interesting business. Sarah Nigbor, the editor of the Pierce County Journal, will be discussing her responsibilities at the Journal and sharing some stories about her experiences. Come learn how a small-town paper survives in this day and age.

Katrina will be providing Foot Care from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. Please call the Ellsworth Senior Center at 715-273-5873 for more details and/or to make an appointment.

Game Day is the first Tuesday of the month from 1-3 p.m. Feb. 6. This is our newest gathering for fun and group games. We will be meeting through May to help chase away the cabin fever that winter brings. Come and share your afternoon together.

Discovering Together Tuesday will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13. One of the fantastic naturalists from the Carpenter Nature Center will help us explore the St. Croix River Valley and learn about the animals who live there. They will also be bringing along some of their live animal ambassadors. A light lunch will be provided.

Unless otherwise stated, all events are at the Ellsworth Senior Center, located in the basement of the old Ellsworth Public Library at 312 W. Main St. Please park in the back parking lot and enter through the back door.
