ELLSWORTH – The Ellsworth Fire Department had a great turnout for its 40th annual chicken feed, held Saturday, March 26 at the Ellsworth Fire Hall.
The department had this message posted on its Facebook page after the event: “THANK YOU. We cannot say this enough. Thanks to everyone that purchased chicken or stopped into the hall and purchased items. Thanks to all the volunteers that are friends or family members of the department and offer their time to cook chicken. Thanks to the donors that donate items or money year after year. Thanks to the families of the firefighters that support them through everything they do for the department. Thanks to the neighboring departments that make time to show up to support their neighbors. We are grateful for everyone’s support.”
