Elmwood Auditorium dining room gets refresh
At an open house Thursday, June 18, visitors were able to see the improvements made to the Elmwood Auditorium first floor dining room, including new flooring and bright, fresh paint. The project was a collaboration between the Elmwood Enrichment Council, Elmwood Area Community Club, Village of Elmwood and American Legion Post 207. Also available for viewing were Elmwood historical displays, courtesy of Pierce County Historical Association volunteers, and American Legion Post 207 displays.

The kitchen adjacent to the dining room in the Elmwood Auditorium received a complete makeover with new cabinets, paint, flooring and stoves. Bill Wittig donated the cabinets and stoves in memory of Jack and Carol (Weber) Wittig, while Tom Weber, brother of Carol, installed them. Bill Wittig also donated toward the Armory Room renovation in honor of his father, Sgt. Jack Wittig.
