On Tuesday, Jan. 25, the Elmwood/Plum City Wolves girls basketball team traveled to Spring Valley for a Dunn-St. Croix Conference matchup, which was their first of the season. The Wolves rode efficient shooting and solid defense to a 6430 victory to improve to 9-6 for the season, including a 43 record in conference play.
The Wolves got out to a hot start on the road in Spring Valley. Elmwood/Plum City held a 9-2 lead less than three minutes into the game. That’s when Wolves senior Maggie Glaus grabbed an offensive rebound, kicked it out to senior guard Hailee McDonough, who buried a three-pointer to take a 12-2 lead. Spring Valley head coach Sean Hoolihan took a timeout to slow the Wolves’ momentum.
