Last Wednesday, a group of nine high powered 6th grade math minds spent the morning working out complex math problems together and as individuals in the annual Math Masters Mathematics Challenge. Math Masters challenges students to use critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities in a competition against 25 other Western Wisconsin and Eastern Minnesota schools. Most years the group travels to the competition. This year, the competition was virtual and our math students competed in Mr. Pechacek's classroom and the cafeteria (when quiet).
