The Ellsworth Public Library recently concluded its 19th annual Mystery Quilt program! The Mystery Quilt program begins each year in January when quilters from the area and now from various states throughout the country, Sweden and Germany are sent weekly clues which they then use to piece together a quilt not knowing what the final quilt will look like until they receive the last clue.
The culmination of the program is a Mystery Quilt Reveal and Show & Tell which is usually held at the end of March, followed by a month-long display of quilts at the Ellsworth Public Library. Mystery Quilt 2025 quilts along with some examples of barn quilts, antique quilts and other small, quilted projects are on display now through April 30 at the library. You are invited to stop in and view the show, sign up for next year's 20th anniversary Mystery Quilt program and register for our upcoming Beginner's Quilting Class which runs three consecutive Wednesdays, April 16, 23 and 30 at 6 p.m. The program is free, and all materials are provided at no cost. Participants will make a table runner they can take home at the end of the third class.
Ellsworth Public Library is located at 388 W. Main St.
