HUDSON – The Hudson Hometown Music Fest, a family-friendly day of music hosted by the Hudson Lions Club, will be Saturday, Sept. 7 at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson. Admission is free. Hours are noon to 11 p.m.
The event will showcase talented musicians in the Hudson and Twin Cities area with Jenny LeDoux (Disney) kicking off the fest. FireWater Gospel Choir will highlight the evening schedule starting at 8 p.m. In between you’ll enjoy sets by North Ridge Band, Sten Carlson Band, Jenny LaDoux and SPF-30 Band (Caribbean music). The music schedule includes country, pop, blues, folk, classic and current rock and roll. A special program at 2 p.m. will include a flyover to honor fallen police officers and soldiers.
In addition to the free music shows, the fest will host family friendly activities including kids’ games, caricatures, dunk tank and face painting.
Festival food will be for sale including BBQ, ethnic foods such as tacos, nachos and ravioli, cheese curds, wraps, hot dogs, fries and burgers and sweet treats like donuts and waffles. Beverage offerings include wine, seltzer, beer, NA beverages and soda.
A silent auction and wine pull will be held with proceeds donated to the St. Croix Valley Food Bank. They are a distribution center providing free and reduced cost food to food shelves, backpack programs, food pantries and other hunger relief partners in the St. Croix Valley.
Special notes: service animals are welcome and no coolers are allowed.
