Staff report
ELLSWORTH – Zion Covenant Church will host its annual free community clothing exchange Saturday, Nov. 6.
The free exchange will be held in the church parking lot (weather permitting) or in its community center (please wear mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines) at 210 N. Beulah St., Ellsworth. The church is located two blocks north of Speedway gas station.
People can drop off their gently used (still wearable) from newborn to adult sizes from 3-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. Volunteers will organize clothing based on size. Those who drop off clothing will receive a ticket to “shop” first on Saturday morning.
Ticket holder shopping will take place from 9-10 a.m. Nov. 6, followed by community shopping 10:30 a.m. to noon. Leftover items will be donated to a local charity. Clothing, shoes and books are welcome. Due to pandemic concerns, furniture, toys, bedding and other household items will not be accepted.
“We have been planning these events for the two weekends per year when Daylight Savings Time begins and ends,” said event coordinator Dawn Benoy.
