ELLSWORTH — Emily Jacobson, LAc, owner and director of Healing Roots Wellness Center, will lead a free seminar on perimenopause, “Puberty in Reverse…The Struggle Is Real,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 in the Ellsworth Public Library Meeting Room.
Jacobson brings more than 20 years of experience in massage, acupuncture, and holistic medicine. She will offer practical tools to manage common symptoms, including hot flashes, sleep changes, weight gain, mood swings, and hair loss.
“The transition isn’t easy, but you’re not alone—and there is hope,” she said. “We’ll explore what’s happening in your body and how to feel your best during this stage of life.”
Jacobson’s interest in wellness began at a young age. She trained at St. Croix Center for the Healing Arts massage school in 2000 and launched her first business, Exceptional Relief Massage, in 2002. After nine successful years, she earned a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2016 and opened To The Point Acupuncture and Tai Chi.
At Healing Roots Wellness Center, Jacobson focuses on pain management, women’s health, and mental and emotional well-being. She creates a safe, supportive environment, integrating massage, acupuncture, and holistic therapies to address mind, body, and spirit.
Outside of work, Jacobson enjoys hiking, cycling, kayaking, teaching tai chi, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
