Sunset Soiree, online auction planned to support the ‘Gem of Prescott’
PRESCOTT – You’re invited! Help celebrate the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center’s 15-year anniversary on Aug. 21 at Freedom Park’s Sunset Soirée: Party in the Park! Hang out with your neighbors, meet new friends, and support the “Gem of Prescott.” This free, in-person fundraiser will feature live music, yard games, hors d'oeuvres, a sale at the gift shop, a cash bar, and a toast to Freedom Park with Executive Director Israel Haas.
This in-person event will also mark the closing of Freedom Park’s online silent auction, which is taking place from Aug. 14 through sunset during the Soirée. This year, more than 65 items have been generously donated to Freedom Park’s auction by local businesses, groups, and individuals. The items and experiences open for bid are truly one-of-a-kind, and there’s something for everyone.
A few highlights currently up for bidding: A St. Croix River guided fishing excursion with lunch – check out the trophy fish catch from a past winner in the photo!
You could also win the opportunity to create the knife of your dreams with Bluff Country Custom Knives’ Tucker Benjamin. Get to know Prescott’s newest downtown shop by bidding on AIM JOY’s gift basket, run by Prescott's own Angie Miner. This basket includes candles, earrings, bracelets, a gnome, and other goodies. Want to get moving? Bid on a 45-minute heartpounding workout with Lindsey of reDefined Fitness & Personal Training. Sweat it out, then enjoy the sunrise with a post-workout coffee! A long-time crowd favorite auction item is a weekend stay at one of Lutsen’s Sea Villas on the shore of Lake Superior.
Other items and experiences up for bidding run the gamut from an inflatable paddle board to various wine and spirit baskets, and from kayak adventures and snowmobiling to weekend getaways for the whole family. Any adult with a smartphone or computer can log in today and bid or flag items they’re interested in trying to win. To view all auction items and to bid, visit event.gives/freedompark2021
