ELLSWORTH – The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library are excited to announce a $3,000 grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation to support their "Community Cultural Connections – Spanish Inclusion" program, with a focus on education.

Funded in part by the grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation, the library will utilize grant dollars to:

• Compensate two teachers to extend the “English for Spanish Speakers” program which will resume in March 2025
• Fund two eight-week “Spanish for English Speakers” classes. One is currently being offered (January 2025) and one will be in Fall 2025.
• Purchase bilingual and Spanish reading materials to support classes, cultural programming, and Storytime, along with creating three bilingual book club kits.
• Provide supplies for community cultural events that foster shared experiences through food, music, arts, and holiday observances. The first of which will happen in late April or early May of 2025. Stay tuned!

The Friends of the Ellsworth Public Library will submit a report to summarize the impact of the grant. The Green Bay Packers Foundation accepts one grant application per organization during each three-year cycle (2023-2025).
