The vendor market was hopping on Broad Street for Prescott Daze 2025 Saturday, Sept. 6.

The winner of the Old 96er Meat Eating Contest at Ptacek’s IGA on Thursday, Sept. 4 was Ptacek’s own Tom Ptacek. It was a tight race between Ptacek and Brent Hansen, who had 3.18 pounds left after the 30 minutes, while Ptacek had 2.81 pounds. Each contestant had 6 pounds of meat to tackle in 30 minutes.

The Gredvig family found the Prescott Daze medallion in Magee Park. They found it near two wooden construction markers that make an X, under a concrete rock, near the picnic tables and trail head gate.

The Big River Corn Maze, which participated in Sunday’s Prescott Daze parade, is gearing up for the fall season. Located at N4379 State Rd 35, Prescott, they will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 26-Oct. 31 on weekends.

Prescott Daze Grand Marshals Ralph and Joan Murphy stopped into the Prescott History Center for a quick tour with volunteer Dallas Eggers. The Murphys are part of the Cernohous Chevrolet family, which has been a staple in the community for 93 years.
