PRESCOTT – We are half way through December and heading towards 2023. May you find many moments of joy and contentment in the weeks ahead. Senior Gathering Place is closed whenever the Malone Intermediate School is closed for school holidays. This year we are closed Thursday, Dec. 22 until Tuesday, Jan. 3. Plan on rejoining us in 2023 for fun events and lots of sharing. Thursday, Dec. 8: Prescott High School teacher Jeff Ryan and his students will speak about “Back to Lac du Flambeau.” Ryan has taken 21 groups to the reservation so far. After the speaker, members will play Canasta, which is an old card game that several members have been enjoying. Table talk is a given!

Tuesday, Dec. 13: Pickleball takes place at 9 a.m. in the Malone Intermediate Schol gym. From 1-3:30 p.m., join your friends in game day. Many games to choose from including 5 Crowns, Mexican Dominoes or bring a game of your choice.

Wednesday, Dec. 14: Cards day! There’s lots of fun to be had as you join in Euchre, Bridge or card game of your choice. Fun and good cheer abound!

Thursday, Dec. 15: Join us for a movie and popcorn. We will view “The Santa Clause,” a fun comedy featuring Tim Allen. Friday, Dec. 16: Memory Café takes place at First National Bank Community Room (1151 Canton St.) from 10-11:30 a.m. Senior Gathering Place is open to all ages 55 years and older. We are located at 1220 St. Croix St., Door 5. Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. If the school is closed due to inclement weather, Gathering Place will be closed too.
