Gathering Place activities ward off chill

PRESCOTT – January chill feeling a little too much like winter? Come join your friends at the warm and inviting Gathering Place. Easy access and handicap parking.
Coming events:
The January movie will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18. We will be showing the animated comedy “Ice Age – The Meltdown.”
Book Club at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 will be a discussion of “ The Clayfields “ by local author, Elise Gregory.
New this month at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 will be an afternoon of various games. We have several to choose from so feel free to look them over and play what entices you.
Regular activities will include:

Wednesday, Jan. 10: Euchre, Bridge or card game of your choice from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Thursday, Jan. 11: Art 101, watercolor painting at 1 p.m. A $2 supply fee collected at class.

Monday, Jan. 15: Chair Yoga from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Pre- registration required, check in at the Gathering Place.

Tuesday, Jan. 16: Pickleball is at 9 a.m. in the gym at Prescott Intermediate School on Elm Street.
Left, Right, Center game will be played at the Gathering Place at 12:30 p.m. also on Tuesday. Bring your dimes.

Wednesday, Jan. 17: Euchre, Bridge or card game of your choice from 12:30- 3:30 p.m.
Senior Gathering Place is located at 1220 St. Croix St. at the Prescott Middle School, Door 5. It is open to all seniors age 55 years and older. Bring your friends and enjoy some fun and friendship.
