United Way St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys (UW Valleys) is excited to announce the return of Give Big Valleys (formally giveBig St. Croix Valley) on Tuesday, April 29. This year, the event expands to include nonprofits from Dunn and Pepin counties, as well as long-time participants in Burnett, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties. This expansion, which follows the merger of United Way St. Croix Valley and Dunn County United Way on July 1, 2024, enhances Give Big Valleys’ impact and strengthens community engagement across western Wisconsin.
Give Big Valleys is a 24-hour online giving event dedicated to connecting donors with local nonprofits, raising awareness, and securing critical funding to support their essential work. The initiative highlights the vital role these organizations play in addressing community needs, with a focus on expanding capacity and increasing sustainability.
This year, the event will take place from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 at givebigvalleys.org. More than 100 nonprofits are expected to participate, with thousands of donors rallying to support local initiatives. Last year’s event raised over $500,000 for 91 nonprofits in just 24 hours, making a substantial impact across the region.
Nonprofit registration is now open for 501(c)(3) organizations at givebigvalleys.org. Businesses can support local nonprofits by contributing to the matching fund pool while gaining increased visibility across the St. Croix and Red Cedar Valleys. Learn more at givebigvalleys.org.
