To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $2.15 million project replacing two culverts on WIS 65 between River Falls and Ellsworth and repairing one culvert and replacing another on US 10 southeast of Ellsworth, all in Pierce County. Construction was scheduled to start Monday, March 23.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation project includes:
During the replacement of C-47-2 and C-47-5, WIS 65 will be closed to through traffic, which will be detoured via US 10, US 63, WIS 29 and WIS 35. Access to homes and businesses in the area will be maintained.
During repair work at C-47-236, US 10 will remain open, but motorists will encounter lane closures controlled by flagging as work is occurring. During the replacement of C-47-242, US 10 would remain open to a single lane of traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals.
Construction is scheduled for completion in late September.
