PRESCOTT - Adam Granquist of Prescott announced Dec. 1 that he will be running for Prescott City Council representing Wards 5 and 6 in the upcoming Spring 2024 elections.
“I believe I will bring a fresh view to the council and be a strong and committed advocate for the citizens I represent,” Granquist said. “When my wife and I moved here over five years ago, we fell in love with this city. So much that we've started to raise our family here, put down roots and call it home. The beauty and uniqueness Prescott has is incredible and rare. I am committed to serve the citizens of our city and contribute to a healthy present and future Prescott.
“I will dedicate the time and energy needed for our citizens. I will listen to those I represent with respect for each individual and keeping the best interest in our great city. I will work with a purpose of developing our city to meet the needs of its citizens, ensuring it benefits the citizens and the city.
“I believe it is critical that elected officials have a good understanding of the needs and pain points of the citizens they represent. Being transparent and having good communication is key to accurately being the voice of those represented.
“It would be my duty and responsibility to ensure those I represent are well informed and understand what is happening in our city. A duty I would be honored to be able to perform.
“That is why, if I am elected, I am committing to holding optional bi-weekly open forums with the citizens I represent. This will allow for clarity on matters and further enables each citizen’s voice, opinions, and ideas to be heard. I will be an available and present councilman, representing the interests of my constituents with honesty, integrity, and action.
“I am a family man, entrepreneur, and patriot. I was raised on honesty, respect, hard work, and service to others. I know in order to improve my life and those around me, it requires sacrifice, determination, and grit. I love my country and I love this city. I am ready and eager to serve. Vote Tuesday, April 2.”
