Looking to make it big time? Now is your chance thanks to Great River Road Theatre’s auditions for their winter dinner theatre running late January to early February. The auditions are from 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 and Monday, Oct. 27 at the Ptacek’s IGA grocery store (1005 Eagle Ridge Drive, Prescott).
Anyone interested in being a part of the show can show up and try out. Even those who just want to see what Great River Road Theatre is all about and possibly help out in the future are welcome.
“We just want to encourage people and be seen in the community,” Marie-Anne Haudegand-Deiss said. “I think community theatre helps the community, of course, itself. It just grows the community, and sometimes we get actors from all over.”
No matter the experience level, Judy Johson and Haudegand-Deiss are welcoming everyone to try out and believe in themselves.
“Sometimes they come to us where they have a little experience, and sometimes they come to us raw with no experience,” Haudegand-Deiss said. “We just want people to see if they can expand their skills… We can make a star out of anyone.”
