The Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center, a key attraction along the Great River Road (scenic byway,) was recently filmed for an episode of MN Bound. The show, known for highlighting Minnesota’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, dedicated a segment to the park and center. The episode aimed to bring attention to the unique pollinator gardens that surround our amazing facility. The segment also featured our center showcasing our resources and experiences that the center provides to visitors exploring the Great River Road, the Mississippi River and our surroundings.
The MN Bound team, led by Jake, captured the essence of what makes our center special. The episode featured interviews with the Executive Director, Linda Schenk, interviews with Jessica Hiniker and Kathy Oss and critical volunteers that support our center. Jake captured stunning footage of the surrounding vista of the mighty Mississippi River and took a closer look at the educational programs and travel information that is offered through our center.
The Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center, not only serves the people of Prescott, it serves the people of Minnesota and surrounding states as well. Our reach is far and wide when it comes to travelers. Our center sees over 12,000 visitors a year from 25 different states and 30 different countries.
We are thankful to MN Bound for coming to feature our “Gem of Prescott.” The episode is scheduled to air in August 2025. It is expected to draw even more visitors to the Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center. For those who want to experience the beauty and educational value of the center firsthand, the center is open Tuesday through Sunday.
