ELLSWORTH – Older adults are invited to get creative and connect with others at the next Growing Connections program at the Ellsworth Public Library on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn from local floral artist Bob Larson of Bo-Jo’s Creations Floral, Cakes & Gifts and create their own beautiful fall centerpiece to take home.

The free, hands-on program will include light refreshments and time to visit and connect with others while enjoying a creative fall activity. All materials will be provided, and no gardening experience or “green thumb” is required.

Bob Larson AIFD, CFD is an award-winning floral and cake artist who owns Bo-Jo’s Creations Floral, Cakes & Gifts with his wife, JoAnne. The couple has operated their family-owned business in Ellsworth since 1997 and is known for a creative and personalized approach to floral arrangements, plants, cakes and desserts for life’s important occasions. Larson was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 2009, a world-renowned organization that recognizes excellence in floral design and business leadership.
