Haley Dunn
Position: First grade teacher, Greenwood Elementary Hometown: River Falls College attended: UWStevens Point Hobbies/interests: I enjoy hammocking, reading, traveling and catching up with friends over coffee in my spare time. I also spend a lot of time going on long walks with our rescue dog, Nala.
Family: I was born in California but moved to River Falls when I was seven and have called this community my home ever since. I am grateful to have grown up with my loving and supportive family, including my parents, Jeff and Karin, and older sister, Alyssa. This will be my first year teaching and I am so grateful to teach in a district that gave so much to me!
Why did you choose teaching as your profession? I chose to be a teacher because I adore working with curious young learners. I am passionate about individualizing education to meet children where they’re at to help them succeed individually. My goal as a teacher is to guide children to become independent, lifelong learners.
