Prescott boys

The Prescott Cardinals finished 11-10 this season and fell to La Cross Aquinas in a WIAA Regional Final game. Standout sophomore guard Jordan Malmlov was recognized as First Team All- Conference after leading the high-caliber offense, averaging 21.9 points, 3.4 assist and 1.3 steals per game. Freshman Dallas Wallin’s allaround effort earned him Honorable Mention All-Conference after the Cardinals finished 7-7 behind just St. Croix Central, New Richmond and Somerset in the Middle Border.

According to wissports.net, Wallin averaged 11.9, 6.9 1.4 assist, 1.9 steals and a block per game in his first year of varsity eligibility.

The Cardinals were forced to play eight games in the first 13 days of February after halting the season for a brief portion of January.

Prescott will graduate seniors Hayden Pattridge, Walker Lenz, Tanner Dalman, Kyle Holman, Teddy Huppert and Damion Huppert.

The Prescott Cardinals finished another incredible season with an 18-3 record, once again going undefeated in the Middle Border Conference.

Standout senior Isabella Lenz, named to the Division 3 All State team, finished with more career points than any other basketball player in Prescott High School history. The Michigan Tech commit averaged 21 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2.8 steals per game this season and was named the MBC Player of the Year.

Lenz was joined by fellow seniors Nicole Dalman and Tori Benck in MBC recognition. Dalman was named to the MBC First Team All-Conference, while Benck was named Honorable Mention. Dalman averaged 13.8 points, 10.7 rebounds and a pair of steals per game.

Benck averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals per contest in the Cardinals memorable season. The Cardinals fell to eventual State Runner-Up La Cross Aquinas on the road in the WIAA Regional Final.

The Cardinals will graduate seniors Sydney Matzek along with Lenz, Dalman and Benck. Ellsworth boys

Ellsworth boys

Ellsworth eventually finished 7-7 in the Middle Border Conference (MBC) and 9-11 overall after falling to Altoona on the road in the WIAA Regional Final. The Panthers defeated MBC opponent Baldwin-Woodville on the road after splitting games during the regular season with the Blackhawks.

Two Panthers were named to the MBC All Conference teams. Senior Mason Anderson capped off an impressive career being named First Team All-Conference and Co-Conference Player of the Year along with St. Croix Central’s Gabe Siler. Junior Jack Janke was named to the MBC’s Second Team All-Conference.

According to wissports.net, Anderson statistically led Ellsworth after recording 20.8 points, 8.7 rebounds two assists, 1.5 steals and a block per game. Janke averaged 16.5 points, over five rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal per game on the year.

Anderson finished his career second all-time in scoring at Ellsworth High School, within 30 points of the record.

Ellsworth will graduate seniors Shane Lange and Josh Bechel along with Anderson.

Ellsworth’s senior Autumn Earney was recently recognized as Honorable Mention All-State after averaging nearly 23 points, four rebounds and three steals per game this season. Earney was also named to the MBC’s First Team All-Conference after leading the Panthers to a fifth-place finish in the Middle Border Conference. Freshman Molly Janke didn’t take long to establish herself among the top players in the Middle Border and earned Second Team All-Conference after averaging 14.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 6 assists, a pair of steals and a block per outing.

The Panthers fell to Altoona in a WIAA Regional game and finished the season with a 9-10 record.

Earney’s name now sits at the top of the all-time and single game scoring records at Ellsworth High School.

The Panthers graduate seniors Brianna Giese, Kaitlyn Peterson, Lily Puhrmann and Earney.
