LAKE GENEVA – Hudson’s annual hot air balloon rally and winter festival was represented at the recent Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Lake Geneva. Event directors Evy Nerbonne, Hudson, and Carla Timmerman, River Falls, and balloonmeister Ken Walter, Waukesha, networked with 800+ other tourism professionals at the 3-day event.
Highlights included the Governor’s awards dinner where the Hudson Lakefront Heritage Project was recognized in the Arts, Culture and Heritage category. Another highlight was a surprise visit by former Green Bay Packer Donald Driver who’s now the spokesman for Visit Lake Geneva.
The 2025 conference will be held in La Crosse next March.
