Karen Ford LaVigne, Rebecca Ford, Lauren Ford Beamon, Susan Ford and Patricia Ford invite the pals, relatives, well-wishers and drinking buddies to a loving memorial for Irene F. Ford aka Ma Ford.
The convivial gathering will begin at noon at the home of her daughter Lauren Beamon, 1031 Sturtevant, Red Wing, MN, on Sunday, June 15.
Come tell your stories…. like Ma Ford naming the hummingbirds on her porch or protecting the black buck that roamed her land from hunters, how her yard was filled with her children’s friends playing guitar, singing and laughing into the night, volleyball games galore. Or the day her children and grandchildren unraveled the beaver dam in the Trimbelle River that runs through her yard.
She protected her land from poachers and the stream from being overfished.
She had a green thumb and beautiful gardens outside and inside her home.
Irene could drink anyone under the table.

Irene leaves eight children, 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Irene died Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 97.
