The cancelled game report is in for Pierce County, and the survey reveals, that some were rescheduled. From the east traveling west: Starting at Plum City, the baseball double header between Elmwood/Plum City and Mondovi at Mondovi that was originally scheduled for Thursday May 20 has been rescheduled for Wednesday June 2, while the softball game between Elmwood/Plum City and Mondovi at Mondovi originally scheduled for May 20 has been rescheduled for Thursday, June 3, at 5 p.m.

And while too late to count in terms of attending, the baseball and softball games originally scheduled for Thursday May 27 between Elmwood/Plum City and Glenwood City at Glenwood City, were rescheduled for Friday May 28. Following this development, the rescheduled Elmwood/Plum City baseball game versus Glenwood City was “postponed,” which is better than being cancelled, as one softball JV game set for May 27 was.

Moving up Highway 10 to Ellsworth, a Varsity Track Invitational against multiple schools at Elllsworth originally scheduled for June 1 has been cancelled, as was a June 1 baseball JV game at 5 p.m. at Somerset. Little else is reportable at Ellsworth, named as it is for Elmer E. Ellsworth, who died as the Union Army’s first casualty in May of 1861. Before this, Ellsworth was called Perry, for those who are into the history dimension along with sports.

At any rate and moving on to Prescott where the St. Croix and Mississippi rivers meet, Prescott Wisconsin, the baseball C-team game against St. Croix Central originally scheduled for June 3 at Prescott has been cancelled, along with similar softball C-team games June 1 and June 4, no immediate date of rescheduling being available.

As a side effect of the varsity Track Invitational being cancelled at Ellsworth June 1, there was no track meet for Prescott to attend as such.

Moving back in time but also forward, meanwhile, the varsity softball game pitting Prescott against Baldwin-Woodville at Millpond Park Field in Baldwin May 27, has been rescheduled to this June 9, while Varsity as well as JV baseball games against Amery originally scheduled for May 27 have been rescheduled to June 8, at Prescott. The fun starts at 5 p.m.

Travelling north meanwhile to River Falls and the Wildcats, a boys varsity tennis match against Menomonie originally scheduled for May 27 was rescheduled to June 1, while varsity and JV baseball games against Eau Claire North at River Falls were moved from May 27 up to June 2, the varsity game at First National Bank stadium, while the JV game was scheduled at the local River Falls High School.

Finally for the sports report, a varsity softball game against Chippewa Falls May 27 has been rescheduled for Monday June 7 at River Falls High School—and that’s the rescheduled game report for the week of June 3.
