Iva Hauschildt 1940-2022

Iva L. Hauschildt, 82, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Lake City.

She was born Feb. 12, 1940 in Red Wing to Au- __________________________ Strusz. She grew up in Red Wing and graduated from Red Wing Central High School, class of 1958. She married Duanne Hauschildt at Vasa Lutheran Church on Oct. 9, 1964. She joined Duanne and his three children and they made their home in rural Ellsworth.

__________ _____ ______ _____ three more children. She __________________________ tle Grand Cafe in Ellsworth from 1981-1987. She and Duanne were married for more than 25 years before Duanne’s passing in 1989.

Iva worked various jobs in the Red Wing area, including _____________________________ Diploma. She loved gardening and enjoyed canning and preserving the fruits and vegetables she grew. She was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. In her later years, moving from her home in Burnside to the Downtown Plaza, she enjoyed the community and company _____________________________ had many friends to play cards with and attend events and activities.

She was very close with her family including her nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She will be missed by many, including her children; _______ ____ ________ ________ Hauschildt of Carroll, Iowa; ________ ________ _________ Hauschildt of Eau Claire, ______ ____ _________ ____ –

____ _____________ ___ ____ – ______ ______ _________ ______ ______________________________ _________ _______ __________ Sebastian, and Hunter; six great-grandchildren, Adrien, Aubrey, Hudson Emma, Lily, and Scarlet; one sister, Janice Hince of Pepin, Wis.; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Duanne, Sr.; Duanne’s children, Diane Horschak, John Hauschildt, and Dani Hauschildt; siblings, Herbert Strusz, Robert Strusz, Dorothy Hanson, and Adeline Hove; as well as her parents.

Funeral service will be 11 _____________________________ at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, Red Wing with Rev.

_____ _________ ____________ Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday, June 27, 2022 at the funeral home as well as on hour prior to the service.
