Jacqueline Heit, age 84, of River Falls, Wis. passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2023 at her home. She graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Education degree. Jaqueline taught elementary for 44 years beginning at Catholic Schools in Thorp, Wis. and then to teaching first grade at St. Francis Catholic School in Ellsworth, Wis. She enjoyed reading and writing poetry.
Jacqueline is survived by her son, Michael Heit and other relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023 at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E. Division St.) River Falls. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E. Division St.) River Falls and also on Thursday from 9:30-10 a.m. at the church. Interment will be Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Clarence Heit, Jr. (2006). Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
