James Allan Most, Age 84 of Prescott, Wis., passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 20, 2026, two days before his 65th wedding anniversary to his wife Renee.
Jim was born on Oct. 13, 1941 in Prescott. He graduated from Prescott High School, class of 1959. He was a lifelong resident of Prescott, worked for 3M Chemolite in Cottage Grove, Minn. for 40 years, and enjoyed driving Prescott School Bus for 34 years.
A favorite pass time of Jim’s was deer hunting with family and friends in northern Wisconsin. He also enjoyed having coffee with the “Coffee Guys” at Ptacek’s during the week and with his good friend Donnie Severson and with his son on the weekends. But his greatest passion was collector cars and he owned many over the years. But his “Third Child” was his 1964 ½ Ford Mustang Convertible that he bought new from Ptacek Standard Oil in Prescott. So of course, another of his favorite pastimes was going to car shows with his “Car Buddies.”
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Clint and Tillie Most and his biological mother Marian (Chase) Lehmicke; sister Barb; brother-in-law Dennis Kiel; grandson Jake O’Brien; and great grandson Jaxon O’Brien.
Jim is survived by his wife Renee; son Terry and daughter Miki; grandchildren Angella, Scottie and Jimmie O’Brien, Tyler and Kate Most; great-grandchildren Sofie and Jake O’Brien, Grace Condon and Emery Rose Most; brothers Mike (Shelly), Mark (Patti), Matt (Amy), and sisters Sue (Jim), and Betty (Randy).
Jim requested no funeral but a private graveside memorial and celebration of life are being planned for the fall.
