Jim James Blomstrom 1937-2022

Jim (James Herman) Blomstrom, age 84 passed away Thursday Oct. 6, 2022 at the Plum City Care Center.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1937 to Herman and Lucille Blomstrom.

Jim was a self-employed carpenter, an avid outdoorsman, beekeeper, hunter, fisherman, bird watcher and gardener. He shared  his love of fishing with everyone who would fish with him. His sugar cookies and rosettes were a favorite at Easter, Christmas and other gatherings with family and friends.

Jim is survived by his brother, Eugene (Dolores) Blomstrom, niece Elizabeth ( Allan) Gillett (Blomstrom), nephew Paul Blomstrom, and great nephews. He is further survived by special friends Ed Drier and Jim Drier, many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucille (Hewitt) Blomstrom, step mother Christena Blomstrom and nephew Dale Blomstrom.

Jim had resided at the Seasons in Plum City and then the Plum City Care Center since November of 2019. Jim’s family would like to thank the staff for the excellent care and companionship he had during these past years with the challenges presented during the COVID pandemic. The staff became another family when visiting options were limited.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Molly’s on Main Street in Plum City on Saturday Nov. 12 at 11 a.m.
